Position: Lead Loom Operator

Location: Oxford, NC

Pay: $23/hour

Experience: 2+ years of weaving experience or 5+ years of machine operation experience

Education: High school diploma or GED

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Greene Resources is seeking a Lead Loom Operator to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Operate and monitor multiple weaving looms
• Inspect woven tapes on the loom for quality
• Repair minor defects and alert the loom fixer for repair as needed
• Thread warp yarn through guides, heddles and rollers, tying or splicing ends to repair yarn breaks or during warp changes
• Track and maintain production levels and quality standards
• Keep accurate records of production, repairs and quality issues
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of looms

Position Requirements:

• Experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment
• Prior training in loom operation and maintenance
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and practices
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a team
