Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen or food manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm
Greene Resources is seeking a Cook Room Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff in daily operations.
- Actively participate in preparing and cooking large-scale food batches.
- Ensure consistent execution of standardized recipes and monitor quality control.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment.
- Manage the flow of raw ingredients and supplies, coordinating with procurement teams.
- Enforce food safety standards, ensuring compliance with HACCP, FDA, and USDA regulations.
- Oversee sanitation procedures and maintain the cleanliness of work areas.
- Maintain accurate records of production, ingredient usage, and cooking times.
- Conduct taste tests and inspections to ensure product consistency and quality.
Position Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in batch cooking and portioning in a production setting.
- Expertise with commercial kitchen equipment and large-scale food preparation.
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, FDA, and USDA food safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory and supply control management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality and detail.
