Salary: $34.15 HourlyLocation : Wilson, NCJob Type: Part-TimeJob Number: Pool - 9Division: Faculty - University TransferOpening Date: 04/15/2024 Job SummaryWilson Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for when a job is available to be filled for class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time; however, after a review of qualifications, applicants may be contacted in the future. Part-time/adjunct faculty provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered.Adjunct/Part-time Instructor teaching the Transition English course. Teaching the self-paced English course, the instructor will help students develop strong foundational reading and writing skills, preparing them for success in their college-level gateway English courses.Essential Duties: To teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes; maintain and submit accurate attendance; maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades; submit required forms and documents in a timely manner. Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor.Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, or related field is required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in teaching basic reading and writing skills is preferred. Experience with online instruction is preferred.
