Summary
The Colville School District is now accepting applications for a Nutritional Specialist. Individual has the responsibility of performing assigned tasks which include, but are not limited to, food preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness, cooking, baking, serving meals, record keeping, keyboarding, computer data entry, cash receipting, handling and reconciliation, maintaining necessary supplies to perform his/her duties, and kitchen & cafeteria house-keeping and cleanup.

Qualifications

* Washington State Food Handlers' Permit or ability to obtain one upon hire.
* Employment is contingent upon clearance by the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* now components required for Federal reimbursable meals.
* Prior experience in salad bar preparation and display, cooking and baking.
* Demonstrated acceptance of responsibility and flexibility.
* Must take initiative, be punctual and dependable.
* Must have a neat clean appearance.
* Demonstrated the ability to work with fellow employees, and preferable, school age children, in an enthusiastic, cooperative and considerate manner.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the school.
* Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Some computer knowledge preferred.
Shifts vary: Monday-Friday
Kitchen Assistant salary: $16.28/hour
Food Handler's Permit Required
Must be 18 years old
