Job Description:CANDIDATE NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO START 12/2 OR 12/9Schedule - 4x 10 Performdiagnostic MRI and X-ray examinations while ensuring quality, efficiency,and continuity of patient care and image exam throughout and workflow. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order ofpercentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not listanything that does not represent at least 10% of the job's time. Pleaseinclude supervisory responsibilities. 1. Performs all MRI examinations according toVail Health protocols. Performs all radiographicexaminations according to Vail Health protocols. Review each examination fortechnical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, andcommunicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of thepatient following the procedure. Identifies each patient andreviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinicaldiagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information includingphysician's name and signature, patient's name, and date. Maintain constructivecollaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians,co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute tocontinuity of care. Maintains established departmentpolicies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance,safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infectioncontrol standards, and universal precautions. Maintains working knowledge anduse of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure qualitypatient documentation. Monitor supply inventory andnotify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam anddressing rooms stocked and neat. Role models the principals of aJust Culture and Organizational Values. Perform other duties as assigned.Must be HIPAA compliant. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Experience: Minimum 1year previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience inhealthcare required. License(s): AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Magnetic ResonanceImaging (MR) credentials: R.T.(R )(MR)(ARRT) required. OR American Registry of MRI Technologists(ARMRIT) required Certification(s): BasicLife Support (BLS) required. Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computersskills necessary to complete online learning requirements forjob-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, completeonline benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, includingreading, writing, and speaking English. Education: N/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcareenvironment. Some of these hazards could include, but are not limited to:radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, dust andstress. Requires full range of body motion including handling and liftingpatients, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requiresstanding and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires some exposure to communicable diseasesor body fluids.
