Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ andto meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Position SummaryTo provide quality customer service and assistance to members, clients and customers coming into the facility through the various entry ways.Essential Functions
  • Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintain all Red Shield Center cash handling policies: appropriately accepting transactions, verifying daily deposits and maintenance of till bag.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, be out-going, and enjoy building relationships with a variety of members.
  • Complete sales transactions for all programs channeled through respective venue.
  • Provide tours and offer information to guests, emphasizing membership sales and offering full product availability to customers to best meet their needs.
  • Appropriately communicate information about all Red Shield Center programs and membership options.
  • Assist with minor event set-ups & activities and ensure general venue safety. Communicate facility issues to the appropriate person(s).
  • Oversee member & customer interactions as related to Protecting the Mission policies.
  • Provide information and answer questions about available programs.
  • Adhere to Red Shield Center operations as well as all policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • Attending staff meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
Working ConditionsAbility to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and point-of- sale experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers & supervisors.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
  • Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification withing the first 90 days of employment.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • High school diploma or diploma in progress.
  • Computer experience helpful.
  • Must have the ability to work with children, parents, staff and a variety of ages and groups.
  • Thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a non- judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
  • A criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
