ROLE PURPOSE: Thermacell is currently seeking to grow our manufacturing business and is looking for a highly motivated 1st Shift Manufacturing Machine Operator. 1st Shift Manufacturing Machine Operators are responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating manufacturing equipment, assembling packaging, inspecting materials, or performing warehouse functions. This role will report to the 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor. [email protected]. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating the Machine: Setting the machine up and keeping the machine running. Making sure to clear jams, making adjustments, and making sure you have a quality product at the end
- Reporting: Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products made during each shift
- Adheres to all manufacturing standard operating procedures
- Performs Quality Control checks including inspecting and testing finished products for defects and quality assurance
- Develop and adherence to equipment centerline and running line standards
- Follow equipment and process troubleshooting methodologies: Why-Why, 5W+2H, etc. and making basic equipment repairs
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing key performance indicators
- Production assembly operations
- Ability to perform change overs and make process adjustments
- Meets company productivity and quality standards
- Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Adherence to established safety policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned

COMPENSATION Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and a Quarterly and Annual Target Bonus program-details proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 10 paid company holidays. Additionally, a company shut-down period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year's Day. - HS Diploma/ GED
- Mechanical Skills including mechanical comprehension, mechanical knowledge, and basic electronics.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating packaging equipment.
- Self-starter and fast-learner, ability to be proactive/plan accordingly
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple simultaneous priorities
- Strong collaboration skills
- Proficient in base Microsoft programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. (Preferred/Not required)
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Forklift Operator Experience Highly Preferred, ability to pass Thermacell Forklift Certification program
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours
- Ability to read and comprehend production order requirements in English
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to work over-time as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours (including weekends).
