DescriptionBasic Function: The Material Handler is responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing material. Responsibilities:
- Loads, unloads, and transfers material to designated areas in accordance with training procedures.
- Labels and stocks material in warehouse utilizing equipment (i.e., scan guns, forklifts, or pickers) - lifting and carrying material may be required.
- Inspects material for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
- Records all material discrepancies utilizing appropriate procedures.
- Completes inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
- Pulls material from the shelf in accordance with ticket requirements (use of forklift of picker required).
- Respools and fills customer order in accordance with ticket and completes appropriate paperwork/checklists.
- Organizes and prepares material for shipments as needed.
- Follows ticket instructions and shipping standards in accordance with procedures.
- Ensures all material is packaged adequately to prevent freight damage.
- Always maintains a neat and orderly workplace - includes moving pallets, straightening inventory, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris.
- Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written, technical, and oral communication skills.
- Basic Math Aptitude.
- Organization, planning, and time management.
- Reading Skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
