**Position Summary**

STERIS is looking for a General Assembler to join our Endoscopy team! This is a great opportunity for you to make an immediate impact while continuing to learn and grow in your professional career. The General Assembler is responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.

**Duties**

* Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses

* Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes

* Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions

* Promote and support a safe working environment

* Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes

* Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment

* Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates

**Education/Required Experience**

* High school diploma or GED

* Manufacturing experience preferred
