1st Shift Production General Labor - Richelieu Foods : Job Details

Provides support services and labor to the Production Line.

Essential Functions

* Be aware of existing work and environmental hazards and report all unsafe acts or conditions observed.

* Responsible for effective continuous operation of pizza production line.

* Maintain of proper labels of material need to sustain line operation.

* As need it be able to keep track of inventories, counts of ingredients and finished products.

* Checks and dumps all waste trays throughout shift.

* Checks and communicates code dates to other workers.

* Handles and logs routine checks of machine and product.

* Takes care of emptying ingredients hopper, prepare, remove and secures all ingredients, equipment and tools needed during changeovers.

* Follows all PPE/GMP requirements.

* Keeps work area clean and sanitary at all times.

* If you line is down, you will be ask to perform different tasks as instructed by your supervisor or lead.

* Timely notification to Supervisor or Lead of equipment problems.

* Notify Supervisor, Lead of actual or potential problems.

* Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions from Supervisor or Lead.

* Responsible for maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area.

* Responsible for proper use of issued PPE, required safety equipment and complying with all safety procedures.

* Be able to rotate to various jobs on Pizza or Crust line.

* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.

* Conduct line tear down tasks as directed by Supervisor or Lead.

Desired Qualifications

* Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus.

* Previous experience in frozen food manufactory is desired.

Competencies

* Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow work instructions and established procedures.

Work Environment

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
