Position SummaryThe Production Scheduling Clerk supports the Scheduling Coordinator and the Facility's Managers by assisting in the planning, coordinating, and scheduling of production activities. This role includes helping with production status updates, capacity planning, and ensuring efficient workflow. The Scheduling Clerk assists with planning, coordinating, and scheduling production completion dates to include production status and assist with capacity planning.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport in Strategic Planning:
  • Assist in developing short and long-term production goals.
  • Contribute suggestions and recommendations to the scheduling coordinator.
Assist in Production Analyses and Planning:
  • Aid in scheduling data input and maintenance.
  • Perform basic capacity analyses for production lines under guidance.
  • Notify Scheduling Coordinator of any observed bottlenecks and help adjust schedules accordingly.
Inventory Management Assistance:
  • Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to manage inventory rotation and minimize waste.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Communicate schedule information with production, customer service, receiving, and inventory personnel.
  • Support the Warehouse, Receiving, and Production teams with up to date scheduling data.
  • Keep Scheduling Coordinator informed of activities and any significant concerns.
Maintain Professional Relations:
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Related Duties:
  • Ensure the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Stay informed about developments in
Performance Measurements
  • Production schedule assists with goals and policies, supporting the overall strategic plans of the Company.
  • Production operations are based on meaningful analyses of available capacity, personnel, equipment, and inventory in conjunction to production schedule.
  • Production personnel are well informed of operational schedule. Support is provided as needed.
  • Professional relations are developed and maintained with outside vendors and trade contacts.
  • Good communication and effective coordination exist with Production and Warehouse Departments.
  • Required documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
  • Manufacturing/Production experience a plus
