Position Type: Athletics/ Extracurricular/Non-AthleticsDate Posted: 7/30/2024Location: North Dover Elementary SchoolDate Available: August 2024Closing Date: Until FilledDistrict: Capital School DistrictDescription: 21st Century Teacher(s)/After School Community Learning Program - (temporary position based on funding) Terms of Employment: Part Time - 4-8 hours per week - 3:45-5:25 pm (4 teachers) 4 sessions with up to 1 hour planning per week - academic and enrichment) Monday - Thursday and every other Friday as needed (2 additional hours) Professional Learning or Training @$27.18 per hour (Summer hours as scheduled 2- 6.5 hours - depending on the program supported) Reports to: Building Principal Salary: $36.77 per hour Minimum Qualifications:
  • Would prefer certified applicant (Bachelor of Arts) with previous 21st Century Programming or After School Student Learning Program experience
  • Experience with tutoring or teaching middle school students preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supports and actively engages in activities for planning and implementation of a school year program to improve student connectedness to the school and support academic strategies for success around student and school data Support instructional, SEL, and leadership strategies as instructed Participate in program development that would promote student participation, positive group interactions, and academic success Provide student support for school orientation, expectations, study skills, educational and personal goal setting, responses to authority, and personal leadership. Supports the collection of data for attendance, behavioral, SEL, and student incentives Participates in field trip and daily programming to support student safety Reliable, punctual, and prepared to support facilitation of a summer school experience Additional duties as assigned by Site Coordinator, District Leadership, and Principal Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
