Spokane Sports internships provide opportunities to college undergraduate/graduate students to gain course credit and/or valuable hands-on experience in large event management. We will provide a diverse, behind-the-scenes experience and interns will have the opportunity to contribute to world-classevents for clients and patrons. This internship program will allow participants to grow their resume and assist Spokane Sports in its mission to generate a positive community and economic impact on the region.Internship Program DetailsDates: November 2024 through Mid-March 2025Location: On-site at various eventsHospitality and Special Events Intern (~2 Positions)
- Hospitality Location Management
- Coordinate with vendors/caterers for delivery and orders
- Maintain and organize hospitality locations throughout events
- Supply runs, deliveries
- Communicate needs and status of hospitality areas
- Team Packet Assembly/Welcome Gifts
- Collect contents and assemble team packets
- Coordinate/collect, fill, and deliver welcome bags to hotel locations
- Gather team hotel information (property, rooms, duration of stay)
- Mixed Zone/Awards Area
- Manage athlete flow through Mixed Zone (Media Area)
- Manage Awards presentation area and coordinate with meet management staff
- Meet Program/Presentation
- National Anthem performers
- Announcements/presentation coordination during competition
- Special Events
- Events surrounding the competition (welcome events, socials, meetings)
Venue/Event Operations Intern (~6 Positions)
- Manage/Coordinate Volunteers and Event Flow
- Oversee Event Management Room
- Check-in and account for all volunteers, officials, medical staff, media, and assigned workers
- Assure that volunteers are placed, and event needs are met
- Point of contact for volunteers throughout event
- Timing/Live Results Support
- iPad/Camera operator and trainer at field event sites
- Event Floor Operations/Oversight

- Vault Pole Bag Storage and management
- Coordinate secure storage and labeling of team pole bags
- Event Set-up and Tear-down
- Group event prep and tear down, before and after event days
