Reports to: Resort General Manager
Summary:
To be knowledgeable in all aspects of management of meeting rooms for group events. As the event coordinator, you will be expected to project a warm and gracious attitude to our customers as you would give a guest in your own home. Coupled with good service and self-motivation, this will be the backbone of your position. Our productivity and profitability do not depend on facilities alone. They also depend on the people, namely you and our customers.
Responsibilities
- Be thoroughly familiar with the property and all its services.
- Be a member of the team and work towards our common goal of superior quality service to the customer.
- Inform the general manager of any issues that may be of concern to the well- being of the resort property.
- Be courteous and congenial to our guests.
- Complete designated work efficiently and thoroughly.
- Willingly accept direction from management.
- Work in a supportive relationship with the food and beverage manager to ensure quality service.
- Be ready to assist in any manner deemed necessary for the well-being of the resort property.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Participate in providing job training and hospitality training programs offered.
- Set up and arrange meeting rooms to meet the needs of the group function. This may include setting up any special equipment or arrangements that are necessary.
- Clean meeting rooms after each function.
- Serve any meals, coffee, etc. in an expedient manner.
- Work with the food and beverage manager to ensure that the needs of the group function are met.
- Any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the meeting rooms.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Preferred:
- Up to three months of previous experience preferred or a combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing abilities and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occurs continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other associates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
