2025 Connecting Communities for Older Adults

Village in the Ville is a grassroots, member-driven, community organization created for neighbors, by neighbors. We are a program of the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center in Columbus, OH that provides services, engagement, and connection to older adults aged 50+ in the Clintonville, Beechwold, and University District areas of Columbus, OH so that they can better age in community. VISTAs will assist Village in the Ville's staff in creating and implementing a communications plan, including social media and online advertisements, to encourage the older adults it serves to engage with and be active in their community. We are looking for someone who is either already familiar with creating communications or is interested in honing their communications skills by learning best practices. Village in the Ville is a small but passionate team of people who want to learn, experiment, and support each other, as well as the community they serve. Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will develop an online communications plan, including social media and online advertisements, to build Village in the Ville's outreach capacity to encourage the older adults its serves to be engaged and active in their community.
