Job Description: 2026 Summer Analyst, Investment Team

Location: New York, NY

Approximate Dates: May 27 – August 5, 2026 (10 weeks total)

Expected Graduation Year: 2027

Salary Range: $85-100k annual salary pro-rated for length of internship

Brinley Partners, LP is a rapidly growing asset manager focused on private credit and direct lending based in New York City and is looking for Summer Analysts to join the Investment Team in Summer 2026. With over $4 billion of AUM and the ability to lend across the capital structure, Brinley invests in secured credit, unsecured credit and preferred equity across various industries. Brinley focuses on market-leading businesses with defensible positions and resilient free cash flow.

Summer Analysts participate in all aspects of the investment process (underwriting/diligence, structuring/execution, and portfolio monitoring). Summer Analysts will receive training throughout the internship and will have hands-on modeling experience on live deals and their final summer projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities alongside investment team (first lien, unitranche, second lien, unsecured bonds, preferred equity).
  • Assist in preparation of investment committee materials which include detailed company, industry, and financial analysis on prospective investments.
  • Complete various projects including secondary trading opportunity analysis and final project consisting of a model and investment recommendation.

Candidate Background:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
