  • The 21st CCLC Program Assistant is the lead of a group of 10-20 students in providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) enrichment activities at the UCP CCLC after school/camp days and summer program and supporting teachers during academic interventions.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of fun and exciting STEAM based enrichment activities including creating lesson plans.
  • Support teachers during the delivery of academic interventions to students.
  • Create a classroom culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity and discovery
  • Complete appropriate data collections (i.e. attendance) according to grant requirements
  • Assist in the assessment of student progress
  • Assist with family engagement activities (including Family Night) as requested.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • QualificationsEducation and Training:
    • Prefer Associate Degree or college credits. Minimum High School Diploma/GED
    • First Aid/CPR Cert
    Minimum Experience/Skills
    • Strong classroom management and organization
    • Experience working with students with and without disabilities in a classroom setting
    • Experience supporting STEAM activities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
