TITLE: Multimedia Technician FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma is required. Training and experience on equipment used in the school system is desirable. Must have a basic understanding of electronics and related principles or the ability to acquire skills in the techniques of this skilled trade. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude in working with personnel in the system and with co-workers. APPLICANT MUST UPLOAD: 1. Legible copy of High school diploma or GED (General Educational Diploma) 2. Resume' DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sets up and/or operates equipment for staff development or other meetings as requested. Maintains accurate records of all audiovisual equipment on loan. Possesses ability to trouble-shoot and repair various types of electronic equipment. Possesses ability to install, evaluate and troubleshoot wall mount projectors, smart boards, wall mount speakers, ceiling mount speakers, TV brackets, TVs, sound systems, multimedia systems, video systems, cameras, DVDs and any other audiovisual equipment. Reads and interprets schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals. Uses a work order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment. Refers complex problems to lead technician. Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity. Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs of weight occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly Must have finger dexterity and be able to perform the basic life functions of walking, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, sitting, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, and repetitive motions. Must possess the visual acuity to work with data and figures, operate a computer and distinguish between colors. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required. Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Must maintain a good, safe, and responsible driving record at all times
