24-25 The Moore Wright Group Housing Services

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. The Moore Wright Group is a non-profit organization located in Grays Harbor County. We provide food, housing, job training, and basic needs supports. Our primary clients are low income and disadvantaged people of all ages. Many of our clients have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and other traumas. Grays Harbor is a rural county with 15.1% of the population living below the poverty line. Over 200 people in the county do not have stable housing. The member will serve with programs that directly benefit our unhoused clients. They will help clients navigate systems, manage transitional housing, and do community outreach. Flexible start dates in November and December are available. Member Duties : The Housing Services AmeriCorps Member will support our unhoused clients by helping them access the services and permanent housing. They will provide individual assistance to clients navigating support systems to meet basic needs and achieve sustainable housing; collaborate with community partners through countywide network meetings, event planning, and community outreach events; provide direct support to clients living in our seasonal shelter and transitional housing facility; support special events and food and supply distribution days; help plan and conduct community outreach; collect data to measure program impact.
