This role is responsible for shipping and receiving merchandise and executing other distribution center operations. The Material Handler reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.We currently have full-time opportunities on all shifts. We offer a great benefits package including a 30% merchandise discount. Our associates are paid on a weekly basis and we offer a generous time off benefits. As a Material Handler you will be responsible for all aspects of warehousing and distribution. This includes loading and unloading trailers, receiving as well as put-away, and picking. Qualified candidates must be able to handle merchandise weighing up to 450lbs and must be able to work at heights up to 30 feet (operating a stock-picker).Some of the functions the Material Handler will perform:

• Unpacks and loads merchandise on and off trucks
• Follows best practices regarding tagging and scanning of product, ensuring accurate shipping

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate will have, among other skills and abilities:

• Willing to submit to physical capability test, drug screen and background check
• Can perform continuous lifting and moving of heavy furniture
• Can be counted on to be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts
• Ability to follow safety guidelines
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Track record of serving others and putting team goals first
