Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, assigning work orders for equipment modifications, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production and scheduling departments to coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
  • Actively engage on the production floor, providing hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance for equipment.
  • Enforce plant rules, monitor attendance, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and documents related to operating metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Conduct safety inspections, facilitate training, and identify unsafe conditions to promote a safe working environment.
  • Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies, managing spare parts inventory as required.
  • Engage with vendors for product discussions and project completions.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Six Sigma and 5S, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive team environment, driving the maintenance team to achieve productivity targets.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements for maintenance and plant operations.
  • Plan and coordinate the installation and removal of plant equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance staff are thoroughly trained in safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or technical school certification.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with Lean environments is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
