JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Quality Control Technician Position Reports To: Quality Control SupervisorFLSA Status: Hourly - $17.55-20.45
  • This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days
  • January - April / Monday - Friday with Saturdays possible
  • May - December / 6 days a week

Be part of a team that supplies food to the tables across the US, Mexico and Canada.Position Purpose Summary: This position regularly monitors and documents product quality as well as production processes ensuring that all food products are in compliance with company and customer specifications.Principal Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
  • Identify, document and communicate quality issues
  • Perform product inspections
  • Perform CCP checks
  • Perform titration of process water
  • Perform enzyme verification
  • Complete daily documentation
  • Perform calibration of equipment
  • Data entry
  • Collect microbiological sample retention
  • Collect customer retention samples
  • Interpret specifications
  • Maintain organized and clean work area
  • Other duties assigned by QC Supervisor or Management

Education and Experience:
  • High School/GED Equivalent, preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred
Physical Demands of the Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.Work Environment: While performing duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.
