Purpose: Quality Technician The Quality Technician is responsible for completing checks in all areas of Production and packaging to ensure that specifications are being met for food quality and food safety per regulatory laws, best practices, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures and verifies that all plant departments and employees are adhering to the quality standards and guidelines of the company.
• Takes samples, tests, records, and reports basic physical, chemical, and biological properties of ingredients, formulations, packaging, and other associated material, leading to their acceptance, approval, or disposition.
• Actively monitors, teaches, and enforces plant sanitation policies, GMP's, HACCP, and methods for allergen control
• Prepares, maintains, monitors, and tracks plant documentation
• Monitor the departmental efficiency, testing and approval times, yields, scrap loss, and other key indicators
• Teaches, instructs, and leads plant employees in issues regarding sanitation
• Accurately prepares and maintains all departmental forms and documents. Monitors the completion of paperwork by other departments, emphasizing optimum record keeping within all plant areas.

Job Requirements

• Basic math, biology, and chemistry knowledge is required

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds occasionally

Hours

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
• Monday - Friday

Compensation

$21.50 per hour
