Job Title: 2nd Shift Racking / Un-Racking- $19.50/hr-- Start ASAP!!!

Job Description

The Racker / Un-Racker will be working in the plating department, where metal plating and living finish application utilizes various chemical solutions to achieve a desired color or finish. This involves racking or wiring of parts, dipping parts in chemical baths and rinse tanks, drying parts with forced air, and cleaning or waxing the finished product to obtain the desired results.

Responsibilities

• Rack or wire parts for plating processes.

• Dip parts in chemical baths and rinse tanks.

• Dry parts using forced air.

• Clean or wax the finished product to achieve the desired result.

• Process living finishes using burnishing machines, which require exposure to nut shells.

• Perform electro-stripping to remove the outer chrome plated layer to expose the underlying bright nickel finish.

• Peel or unwrap parts in preparation for further finishing by verifying type and quantity against the production order form and staging them in trays.

• Return finished parts to inventory by scanning production tickets into the ERP computer system using bar code scanners and personal computers.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of similar experience in production or plating.

• Ability to communicate discrepancies to team leader and solve problems.

• Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.

• Ability to visually examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.

• Attention to detail and quality of finished product.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with bar code scanners and ERP computer systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
