2nd shift Warehouse Packer - Springfield, OH - Gordon Food Service : Job Details

Removes product from automated conveyor and packs product (by customer) in a manner where product will withstand transport and arrive damage-free. Essential Functions:Reads and analyzes daily load sheets. Uses PIV to transport non conveyable items when needed. Assesses space available in trailers and retrieves cases from the conveyor. Safely organizes cases on the trailer, fitting and blocking cases so that heavy items are on the bottom. Secures load to prevent damage during transit. Separates grocery, cooler and freezer items and packs accordingly. Offers assistance to other team members. Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis - remove pallets, clean up boxes, etc. May scan cases with RIF when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Skills:Must have the ability to perform very physically active work for the majority of the day.
