Job Description :
Position Summary: The Senior Accountant provides high-level analytical support and leads various projects within the Accounting/Finance department. This role involves assisting with general accounting functions, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. Responsibilities include supporting monthly and annual closings, budgeting, financial reporting, and various accounting functions such as payroll, tax, and cost accounting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in monthly and annual financial close processes, including preparing financial statements.
  • Perform account analysis and prepare general ledger journal entries.
  • Maintain and review audit schedules for year-end audit processes.
  • Participate in budgeting, including schedule preparation and financial analysis.
  • Ensure proper classification and recording of general ledger transactions.
  • Track and maintain fixed assets.
  • Analyze cost of sales variances, profitability, product mix, and bill of materials.
  • Prepare and file corporate sales & use, property, and franchise tax returns.
  • Support international divisions with monthly financial close.
  • Provide support to general accounting functions as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in developing more efficient procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate financial activities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Oracle software is a plus.
