3K Family Child Care Network Educational Director

Responsibilities:
  • Support family services under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.
  • Support family activities under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.
  • Address individual family needs, provide referrals and resources, and design monthly parent engagement activities in collaboration with the Educational Director and Educational Specialist.
  • Responsible for student recruitment and applications, delivering student applications to the Department of Education's Field Office.
  • Manage data in the MySchools System.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics present among staff and clients.
  • Belief in people's ability to grow and change; ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.
  • Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.
  • Follow employee screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk.
  • Provide regular feedback regarding boundaries with clients.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
  • Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using progressive disciplinary procedures.
  • Respond seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
  • Communicate the organization's commitment to protect clients from abuse.
  • Report essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors.
