Unica Enterprises LLC (Unica) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Working 3rd Shift Janitorial Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness,maintenance and support the supervisor at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center during the overnight hours of 10 pm to 6:30 am. The responsibilities of the Lead encompass organizing employee shifts, providing training, and fostering motivation among team members. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all staff remain focused and efficiently complete assignments up to Unica standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Oversees staff performance and ensures all assignments are completed in accordance to set task schedule.
  • Track equipment and supply inventory.
  • Ability to lead and build a successful team.
  • Provide corrective action recommendations on areas that need improvement.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, promptly addressing spills or messes.
  • Train cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts.
  • Perform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff members.
  • Assign shifts and make necessary adjustments in case of call-offs or no-shows.
  • Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and hallways.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
  • Report maintenance concerns and security issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure the security of company assets and facilities.

Requirements:
  • 5 years experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper.
  • 3 years of janitorial supervisor experience.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish - Preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
  • Friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor toward clients, guests, and coworkers.
  • Must be able to pass strict criminal and background checks.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
