3rd shift Production Supervisor - MILLER'S TEXTILE SERVICES : Job Details

Miller's Textile Services is currently hiring for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor to join our production team at our Wapakoneta, Ohio location. The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of employees within their designated work area. The ideal candidate for this position will be available to work 10 hour days, 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday, 6:30 pm to 5:00 am) while training and learning our business. Once fully trained, you'll transition to an 8 hour shift, 5 days per week (Sunday to Thursday, 6:30 pm to 3:00 am).At Miller's Textile Services, we believe that by investing in people it provides them with the tools for success. • Work side by side with your team to ensure that our products are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Direct and coordinate activities of employees in your designated work area
• Monitor for and report any issues related to quality, product quantity, or safety
• Ensure that quality checks are performed and standards are maintained
• Control plant costs by ensuring efficient production process and hold team accountable to production standards
• Communicate effectively with team, fellow supervisors, and other departments
• Address equipment issues, product needs, or staffing problems that impact production
• Responsible for timekeeping and progressive discipline of team members
• Work is generally performed in a production/manufacturing environment
• Other related duties as assigned to support the production team

What are the minimum qualifications?

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of prior supervision experience required, 3 years in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be proficient in MS Outlook for email communications
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be capable of standing and walking on feet for duration of shift
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
