Join the Briess Team! We are currently hiring for a Full Time 3rd shift Production Team Member in our Chilton Extract Facility. Briess Industries is a leading manufacturer of malted barley and other natural specialty food ingredients. We have been family owned and operated since 1876. We embrace a family culture that motivates, inspires and encourages Team Members to engage and develop their full potential, both professionally and personally.Production Team Member's are responsible for one of the following areas in our facilities:
  • Operation of Brewing Equipment
  • Operation of Evaporating Equipment
  • Operation of Drying Equipment
Starting pay of $25.00 (+) $1.00 for 3rd Shift Premium.3rd Shift Hours: Midnight to 8am
  • Week On Week Off schedule: Work 72 hours in a 2 week period, get paid for 84 hours (work 8 days get 6 days off in a two week period).
Duties Include:
  • Weigh, measure, mix and pack food ingredients in accordance with formulas as required.
  • Operate a fork lift to move product between warehouse inventories and manufacturing cells.
  • Load/unload bulk products and transfer product to/from storage at other plants.
  • Operate processing equipment in multiple areas as needed, either singly or in sequence in accordance with prescribed procedures and instructions to meet product specifications and standards.
  • Product sampling and specified lab analysis as it pertains to a given operation.
  • Fill out production, inventory, receiving and sanitation records.
  • Perform sanitation activities as needed.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and diagnose operating problems and make adjustments or minor repairs to meet final specifications.
  • Read, understand and follow work orders when doing all of the above.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings.
  • Adhere to all government and company safety, sanitation and GMP policies and regulations.
  • Support manufacturing, customer service and sales as required.

  • In-Network: $0 exam / $130 allowance for frames / $0 lenses / $120 allowance for contact lenses
  • Current Weekly Cost: Included in Health Cost
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA)
  • Effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment
  • Deductions are taken pre-tax
  • Amount Allowed for Medical $3,050 per calendar year
  • Amount Allowed for Dependent Care $5,000 per calendar year
  • Up to $610 may be rolled over into the next year
  • $450 Company Contribution after 1 year
SHORT-TERM DISABILITY
  • Effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment
  • $500 per week for 26 weeks (1st day after injury / 8th day after illness)

VACATION
