Status: Full Time Regular Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: Pharmacy Position Summary Summary: The Oncology Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for conducting clinical Pharmacy services and ensuring that the Pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The Clinical Pharmacist participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective medication therapies. He/she will promote Pharmacists as integral members of the health-care team in order to allow full utilization of their clinical and medication use control functions that would be beneficial in each health setting. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years clinical hospital experience or Pharm D. degree with 2 years clinical hospital experience or a PGY1 Residency. License/Certifications • New York State Pharmacy License. • New York State Pharmacy Registration Certificate. • Current certificate in BLS from the American Heart Association. • Immunization Certification. • Board Certification in a hospital Specialty preferred Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • May require admixture of chemotherapeutic agents. • May require prolonged periods of standing. • May require the occasional lifting of heavy boxes.
