The incumbent is responsible for several complex programmatic functions performed within the processes of the reemployment assistance program.Identifies and resolves problems in the daily operations of the offices of the reemployment assistance program. Analyzes problem areas and recommends any changes needed to improve and streamline existing procedures. Coordinates the implementation of new procedures.Writes updates and revises manuals to incorporate new policies and procedures. Provides programmatic training and technical assistance to associates relative to the reemployment assistance program. Assists in developing training materials and procedures and may participate in cost quality and work planning studies. Serves as trainer for programmatic areas of assignment.Collaboratively works with representatives from the Program Support, Department of Revenue, Office of RA Appeals, Contact Centers, Adjudication, Internal Revenue Service, Governmental Officials and other external parties as needed to resolve issues relating to claims.Performs specialized work assignments and other related work as required within the section including the preparation of reports, project analysis and correspondence.Attends workshops and participates in studies, conferences, staff meetings and reviews pertaining to the quality and quantity of work performed in various program areas within Benefit Operations which have statewide application.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:+ Knowledge of reemployment assistance law, rules, policies and procedures.+ Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to reemployment assistance programs.+ Ability to review reemployment assistance functions to measure effectiveness.+ Ability to develop training materials and train others.+ Ability to work independently.+ Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.+ Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.+ Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersQualifications:As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.Minimum:+ Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.Preferred :+ Preference will be given to those with one year of professional experience in Reemployment Assistance and/or Workforce Services.Pay: $20.70 per hourOur Organization and Mission:FloridaCommerce works across the state to support Florida's economy, robust and talented workforce, and our local communities.
