The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Part Time 7.5 hrShift: VARIED SHIFTDepartment: Hospitalist ServicesPosition SummarySummary:The Hospitalist shall provide direct patient care as a Hospitalist in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau; assist in promoting the Hospitalist Services to the medical staff and the community; participate in departmental staff meetings and educational activities.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required• Must complete in-house orientation program• MD or DO degree.Experience And Skills• Excellent interpersonal skills• Speaks, reads and writes English • Clinical experience taking care of inpatients.License/Certifications• Licensure to practice medicine in New York State.• Registration certificate with the Drug Enforcement Agency. • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Fine motor skills, typing. • Sedentary work with prolonged sitting. • Sitting in front of computer for long periods of time. • Standing for long periods of time. • Twisting and/or bending when examining patients or performing procedures. • Occasional requirement to move heavy patients greater than 100 pounds. • Exposure to infectious material, disease, chemicals and radiation.
