Bachelor Degree 2. RBT Certification or equivalent experience required 3. Special Education Certification or equivalent experience preferred SUPERVISOR: Building level Student Services Coordinator JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding and passion for working primarily with students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder but also those with emotional/behavioral disorders and significant cognitive challenges. Some students may demonstrate behavioral challenges but are not identified within the above categories. A strong understanding of material/curriculum development, behavioral intervention plan implementation, data collection, assistive technology, differentiated instructional strategies and classroom accommodations. Furthermore the role is expected to be highly collaborative with colleagues, students, parents and community partners. Candidates must have completed RBT certification, equivalent training and/or have significant experience working as an ABA therapist. Candidates could hold a valid New Hampshire Special Education certification. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports students with a range of communication, social-emotional and academic needs. 2. Designs and delivers specialized instruction that meets identified individual needs. 3. Plans with the BCBA, classroom/ content teachers and related service providers to meet the students' individual needs, interests, and abilities. 4. Creates and maintains intervention spaces that are conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. 5. Employs instructional methods, creates or modifies materials and utilizes instructional technology that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives. 6. Maintains open communication with collaborating teachers, related service providers, students, parents, building level administration and district level student services teams. 7. Collaborates with regular and special education colleagues on a regular basis. 8. Provides on the job coaching for paraprofessionals and other staff. 9. Collects, analyzes and maintains data based on each individual student's program. Modifies program, instruction, technology or materials in response to data analysis. 10. Assists the special education team in developing and progress monitoring IEP goals specifically those related to behavior. 11. Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required. 12. Performs all other assignments by the BCBA, Building Principal, Building Level Student Services Coordinator, or the Director of Student Services.
