The Patient Access Team Lead is responsible for providing feedback on daily registration processes and staffing issues to the Patient Access Supervisor. Provides assistance to staff level employees as necessary to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures. Assists leadership with staffing, report reconciliation, and QA process. Serves as a resource to access and non-access staff with regard to Revenue Cycle operations.

Position Highlights:

  • Work hours: Full Time (40 hours)
  • Night Shift: Monday – Friday; 11:00 pm - 07:00 am
  • Salary: Based on relevant experience

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scheduling and staff coverage for designated functional area to provide adequate and appropriate staffing according to patient volume 24/7.
  • Provides assistance by working alongside staff in times of high volume.
  • Provides shift coverage depending upon need outside of normal working hours.
  • Provides training and mentoring with staff on varying shifts to ensure consistency in performance and following established policies/procedures.
  • Ensures timely follow up and escalation recovery is performed.
  • Interacts as a team member representing Patient Access Services and serves as a member of designated committees and attends meetings as directed.
  • Immediately reports any performance, productivity and/or behavioral related issues regarding staff to management for review.
  • Conducts quality reviews and report assignments as required to ensure compliance and departmental standards.
  • Assists with interviewing applicants, hiring, disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
  • Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
