ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Within the WPP Unite structure Barrows is looking to bring on a dynamic and results-oriented Account Director to join our team, focusing on commerce for Unilever across brand categories (personal care, beauty & wellness, nutrition, home care and ice cream). This role is pivotal in driving integrated marketing strategies that leverage commerce insights to enhance brand presence and performance in the digital and physical retail landscapes. In addition to bringing a killer attitude and energy, this individual must be able to:
  • Manage projects and serve as key liaison among clients, strategy, and design teams, clearly defining project scope, managing timelines and ensuring ongoing communication among all parties
  • Act as the main point of contact for a group of dedicated clients and manage their project needs from initial brief to implementation
  • Direct, guide, and support output for the strategy, creative, digital and operations teams working on the project
  • Communicate with clients and sales team on project statuses as well as scope and timeline changes in order to set proper client expectations
  • Monitor project performance against client's objectives, making optimization recommendations as necessary
  • Manage appropriate and innovative commerce solutions
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and analysis internally to stakeholders
  • Support pre-forecasting of client requirements
  • Build deep and sustainable client relationships at all levels
  • Achieve a culture of accountability, discipline, and pride across the total business with a view to being the best company in the industry
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in a marketing agency, retailer, or digital company
  • Experience with brand and trade activations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hunger for growth
  • Excited about working in a startup environment with an all-hands-on-deck mindset
  • Friendly and dynamic disposition with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be decisive and true in conviction; driven and logical thinker
  • Ability to lead by example and perform well under pressure
  • Computer literate, administratively strong, attention to detail, accountable
  • Proven track record of building revenue in a retail marketing environment
  • CPG experience preferred
  • Shopper/Commerce background preferred
  • Ability to work in the office 3 days a week.
SALARY & BENEFITS The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
