The Account Director is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of marketing campaigns for theatrical productions. This role requires overseeing client meetings, articulating the overarching brand narrative, and ensuring alignment across all aspects of the campaign, including consumer strategy, creative vision, and industry insights. The Account Director also manages a team of account professionals, ensuring smooth internal communication and collaboration with creative directors to drive the marketing vision forward.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies for theatrical productions.
- Develops and implements media strategies, including purchasing and negotiating placements.
- Collaborates with the digital and analytics teams to create data-driven strategies that inform team direction.
- Crafts long-term strategic plans tailored to a show's lifecycle and sales objectives, shaping the narrative of each account.
- Manages the briefing process, ensuring smooth execution of all project deliverables with the support of account managers and associates.
- Serves as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external agencies, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Background in advertising agencies with experience in the theater sector.
- Strong grasp of marketing and advertising concepts.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing or advertising (familiarity with social media marketing is a plus).
- Proficient in G-Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Keynote, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in media planning, buying, and strategy.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse personalities.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in or knowledge of the New York theater scene.
Compensation: $100k - $110k
