About the role:
As an Account Executive at Zencity, you will play a key role in driving new customer acquisition in the GovTech sector, using industry expertise, outbound strategies, and a consultative sales approach.
Main responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Use MEDDICC/MEDDPICC frameworks to qualify and manage opportunities effectively
- Attend conferences, travel to meet prospects, and/or deliver impactful online presentations and product demonstrations
- Build a deep understanding of prospects' needs and present tailored solutions
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through negotiation and close
- Meet and exceed sales quotas by consistently securing new business contracts
- Proactively generate leads through outbound outreach and build a robust pipeline if needed
Industry Expertise:
- Understand the unique challenges and needs of government customers, such as city managers, police chiefs, and county officials
- Stay up to date on industry trends to provide relevant insights during sales conversations
Requirements- 2+ years of experience in new business sales, preferably in SaaS or GovTech
- Proficiency with MEDDICC/MEDDPICC frameworks is prefered
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Willingness to travel for conferences and industry events
- Familiarity with Sales/CRM tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Hubspot is required
- Demonstrated ability and confidence in driving proactive outbound initiatives and lead generation
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or other relevant fields - advantage
- Govetech experience - a significant advantage
