The Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Producer(s) in executing growth and profit initiatives by providing exemplary support services and developing/maintaining positive business relationships with retailers, carriers and co-workers.

What You'll Do:
  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations including requesting supporting documents from retail agent and/or carrier, preparing. invoices, requesting inspections, and corresponding with retail agent and/or carrier as needed.
  • Prepare new and renewal account information and document automated systems in order for the Underwriter to make a sound underwriting decision.
  • Enter submissions into selected carrier system(s) based on underwriting guidelines.
  • Follow-up with retailers as needed to ensure the bind.
  • Review policies, endorsements, and other account activity for accuracy.
  • Processes affidavit filings as required and directed
  • Understand and adhere to state tax requirements.
  • May be responsible for creation, maintenance and reconciliation of bordereaux reports.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the insurance industry through continuing education, self-study, and seminar attendance.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training preferred.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. College degree preferred.
  • Current Property and Casualty license required (or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment).
  • Highly developed problem solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills, as well as the mentoring and guidance of more junior employees.
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Skilled in use of agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
