Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for leading the expansion of CC&N's presence throughout the United States. Primary objectives are to meet or exceed annual budgeted DAS/Public Safety/Wi-Fi revenue and operating income targets, establish lasting vendor, partner, and customer relationships, and effectively manage branch staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Diligently develops and sustains relationships with customers to retain and grow existing business
  • Develops new account business for all CC&N portfolio offerings, with specific focus on DAS, Public Safety, and Wi-Fi solutions
  • Meet or exceed annual assigned budget revenue and operating income goals
  • Tracks sales activities through customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Generates and interprets various sales metric reports to manage Regional and National sales strategy
  • Responsible for coordinating design, estimation of time and materials, and proposal generation for projects with the Design Group
  • Support Design Group by participating in Bid Reviews and proposal approvals
  • Partner with DAS and Wi-Fi leadership to ensure project quality assurance, adherence to industry and CC&N standards, and completion within budgeted dollars
  • Partner with Field Resource team to coordinate and schedule technician work assignments
  • Prepare, present, and attend company, customer, and vendor meetings
  • Promote adherence to operational processes and provide guidance and direction on continual process improvement

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent experience in sales or business management
  • Demonstrated customer relationship-building experience that has led to sustained business growth
  • Experience proposing and executing strategic growth initiatives aligned with company objectives
  • C-Level Customer and leadership presentation skills consistent with a needs-based sales approach
  • Ability to travel extensively (25%) within the 48 contiguous United States
  • Track record of establishing prioritized customer calls and work plans, as well as problem-solving and responding to customer issues
  • Motivated to work independently to drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal, team-based relationships that meet and exceed customer value expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred

  • Knowledge of telecommunication and data network cabling and connectivity in both installation and testing procedures
  • 5+ years of DAS, Public Safety, and/or Wi-Fi business development and market experience
  • People-first leadership experience
  • General understanding of NFPA ERRC requirements
  • Possess a general understanding of cellular communication systems
  • Project Management training/certification
  • RCDD Certification
  • BICSI Certification

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This position requires a combination of physical and mental capabilities to perform effectively.

Physically, employees are expected to engage in extended periods of stationary position as well as moving around throughout the workday. Activities such as preparing documents, participating in bid reviews, and meeting with clients both in person and virtually, are essential. Also, tasks may necessitate occasional lifting of items, and the ability to carry items of varying weights.

Mentally, the role demands clear communication skills as interactions with colleagues, clients, or the public may be frequent. Must be able to exchange accurate information in those situations. Visual acuity is crucial for detecting details and reading documents, and employees must be able to focus on tasks requiring close attention to ensure accuracy and safety. The job environment may involve periods of high activity and fast-paced decision-making, requiring individuals to effectively manage stress and prioritize tasks under pressure. Adaptability and problem-solving abilities are also essential for navigating dynamic work.
