The Account Manager is responsible for account management of current client accounts as well as developing new accounts to maximize revenue and margin by identifying and meeting customers' product, process and service requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
* Demonstrate commitment to company's core values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
* Maintain existing account business and continually increase penetration within existing accounts using product knowledge across all products and services, as well as analyze needs, advise on equipment purchases, and recommend solutions to grow potential sales opportunities through technical/product-based selling.
* Develop and onboard new accounts as the primary sales contact, delivering company and product presentations; explaining products and services, understanding customer's business and technical requirements/needs and converting those into quotes/orders.
* Work with technical/product teams in customer meetings to determine customer product needs and quote configurations.
* Meet or exceed assigned sales quota.
* Represent the company through various prospecting methods including phone, email, web meetings, chat, video calls, and limited on-site sales calls.
* Advise management of strengths and weaknesses of the company's products and services compared to the competition.
* Work closely with sales management on responsibilities as well as various assigned projects.
* Work in a professional manner with other departments to work through any customer or sales related process issues.
* Maintain and continue to foster a pipeline of prospects and customer opportunities within Equus' sales tools to increase sales revenue.
* Responsible for accurate quoting and order entry, including keeping accurate quote records as well as customer correspondence within Equus' sales tools.
* Back up other Account Managers as needed. needed.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* 2+ years sales experience required
* Sales experience in the computer technology industry preferred
* High degree of computer technology knowledge/background
* Relationship building and influencing skills
* Ability to multi-task among job responsibilities
* Ability to interact with diverse cultures with sensitivity, flexibility and adaptability
* Problem solving abilities
