- Identifies relevant new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets, to design plans for the designated territory.
- Manages relationships and communications within the customer account, including internal stakeholders and partners required for a successful outcome.
- Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use of sales leads, based on information from websites, trade shows, email campaigns, referrals, and other sources. Continues to follow-up with proposed leads with legacy equipment, new equipment, and all products.
- Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals set forth by management.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the database. (e.g., CRM, BIS, etc.)
- Assists with the coordination of contracts and/or equipment agreement preparation.
- Makes outbound calls daily to potential and existing customers by telephone, email, or social media, to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Manages all sales activities generated through the internet, including managing sales leads to businesses and current customers.
- Review and analyze market opportunities and evaluate competitive and technology requirements needed to capitalize on opportunities. Understand current and future industry needs in the context of market dynamics to deliver business deals.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems when needed and report problems to direct supervisor.
- Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
- Clearly communicates the progress of sales initiative and shares challenges to closing sales with direct supervisor.
- Stays within company pricing guidelines. Quotes for Bovistride Rx PCPM prices or changes to Bovistride Rx protocols require the input of the direct manager.
- May occasionally assist field services technicians with equipment issues identified by customer(s).
- Attends sales meetings both in person and remotely on a regular basis.
- Attends appropriate trade shows and maintains membership in organizations relevant to the industry.
- Posts new content, answers comments, and shares materials from customers on social media sites with the supervisor's approval.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires a bachelor's degree or relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- A minimum of five (5) years' sales experience in relevant industries.
- Ability to travel frequently (mostly, by car).
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license, in the state of residence, and a safe driving record meeting the company's vehicle policy and insurability standards.
- Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, employees, and other parties.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral forms.
- Ability to develop hoof bath schematics, if a proposal requires one. This includes equipment upgrades or a new installation.
- Able to work in hot or cold conditions that often require wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
