Owned by ASR Group, the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, we have the culture and flexibility of a family-owned business with the technology and resources of a global company.Job OverviewWith an emphasis on providing outstanding customer care, you will be responsible for an assigned portfolio of customers and volume targets, managing a strong value proposition in a commodity market. You will work with existing customers and conduct proactive outreach to prospective clients, helping them understand how our products and delivery solutions fit their business needs.
  • Delivers our value proposition of all about the WHEN by proactively engaging with customers to deliver outstanding customer care, resolve issues, and support customer needs.
  • For current customers and prospects, proactively reach out to promote new and existing products and services, offer special promotions/spot sales opportunities, or provide essential account management services.
  • Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets.
  • Partners with the Account Executive to prepare Quarterly Business Reviews and negotiate new contracts.
  • Partners with colleagues across sales, customer service, operations, finance, and logistics to support the production, scheduling, and delivery of products to the customer.
  • Works with finance to understand credit holds or payment delays and engages customers to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Using data and analytics, monitor contract and spot performance, reporting to management on a weekly basis.
  • Represents ingredients PLUS at industry tradeshows and events, customer events, and online.

Required education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of work and education.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, delivering year-over-year growth in a dynamic industry.
    • Preferred experience selling in the food ingredients industry or selling commodities.
  • Strong ability to influence, mediate, and persuade others.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide high customer service.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Experience utilizing Salesforce is strongly preferred.)
Position Details:
  • This is an on-site position with flexibility.
  • The base salary ranges from $65,000 -$110,000, based on experience and qualifications. There is a 15% variable pay component in addition to the base salary.
