ASA Entertainment has been a leader in action sports event and television production since 1994. Our company develops, manages and executes over 250 event days and television programs annually in skateboarding, BMX, snowboarding, surfing, freestyle motocross and music. Our events range from large-scale nationally televised pro competitions to smaller grassroots contests, exhibitions and mobile tours.We are currently seeking a staff accountant / bookkeeper to manage the company's accounting, payroll, A/P, A/R and bookkeeping functions. The right person must possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational and follow-up skills in addition to a history working with QuickBooks and Excel. The ideal candidate would be an honest, reliable, proactive, meticulous, hard-working, detail-oriented, self-starter with a minimum of three (3) years of accounting and / or bookkeeping experience.General DescriptionMaintains records of financial transactions by posting to established accounts. Responsible for all day-to-day accounting entries. Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions. Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports and advising management on required actions.Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable and billing
- General ledger
- Payroll processing and select human resource duties
- Expense report processing and per diem review
- Verify chart of accounts and project coding
- Reconcile and balance accounts including bank, credit card, and general ledger
- Preparation of 1099's, 1042's, IRS correspondences, sales tax
- Budgeting and adherence to budgets
- Post and reconcile daily transactions
- Gather and compile year-end information for CPA tax preparation
- Review expenses to ensure compliance with budget parameters
- Provide spreadsheets and reporting as required by CEO
- Select office managerial duties
- Must have superior working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
