Job Description: The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with all tasks involved with issuing monthly financial statements, business tax filings, and assisting with cash flow management. This position will also perform the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger functions for TWG Crowley and other ancillary entities, accurately and timely. Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliation
- A/P, A/R, GL, & Payroll time sheets for Crowley
- Tax Filings & Payments
- Cash Management
- Accounting Liaison
- Crystal Companies
- A/P, A/R, GL & Payroll
- Tax Filings & Payments
- Cash Management
- Create Purchase Orders for Purchasing Manager
- Company Credit Card Administrator for Crowley
- Prepare Sales tax and IFTA Returns
- Handle DOT Reporting
- Cross-training as a backup for Product Line Pricing
- Downloading and formatting inventory reports
- Maintaining orderly filing system for general journals, bank reconciliations, and other accounting documents in accordance with the file retention policy
- Analyzing financial data to be presented to the Controller
- Assisting with the financial monthly close
- Assisting in financial audits and inventory for the plant.
- Assisting with related special projects, as needed
Minimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required (equivalent educational training or business experience may be accepted)
- Minimum 3 years experience necessary
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar software is preferred
- Intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook is necessary
- Able to effectively interface with internal and external customers
- Must be able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion
- Able to understand business principles and apply them accordingly
