Position Summary: Accountant
This position is responsible for completing timely and accurate month end close, account reconciliations, cost reports, budgets, tax packages, governmental and other requested financial reports for assigned facilities.
This position will interact and work closely with facility leaders and corporate personnel to support the development and preparation of reports, forecasting and analyzing budgets. This position will collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness and assist the Regional Financial Director in the review of month end close including analysis, research, and resolution of questions or concerns.
In addition, this position will assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external or internal audits as well as work with auditors on any audit related issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including journal entries, balance sheets, reconciliations, income statement analysis and explanations, financial package completion, monthly financial forecast, and tax packages for all assigned facilities.
* Collaborate with Regional Director and Facility Operations to develop, prepare, and analyze budgets and forecasts for all assigned facilities, including presentations to senior management.
* Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
* Assist the Regional Financial Director in the review of month end close including analysis, research, and resolution of questions or concerns.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Assist facility Administrators and accounting personnel on accounting related questions and problems.
* Cross-train with CFO trainee accountants to have the ability to step in and close any of the facilities assigned to the Brentwood Office.
* Assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external or internal audits as well as work with auditors on any audit related issues.
* Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required
* 1-3 Years related experience required
* Basic knowledge of standard accounting operating procedures and principles.
* Performs with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
* Leadership Skills
* Strong sense of urgency and organizational skills.
* Strong Communication (written and verbal)
