Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Compile, analyze and reconcile financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts.
  • Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
  • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transaction.
  • Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
  • Provide recommendations regarding the accounts of reserves, assets and expenditures.
  • Utilize ERP system to create programs and reports to support the G/L account balances.
  • Assist other departments in analyzing transactions and variances and provide financial assistant in managing expenses as compared to budget and communicating detailed transactions to non-accounting personnel.
  • Prepare audit schedules for External Auditors.
  • Assist with queries from the External Auditors in review of the Company Financial Statements.
Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year College.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Intermediate level of proficiency in other Microsoft Applications, including: Word, Outlook, Explorer and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and obtain clarification, respond well to questions; and ability to write clearly and informatively and present numerical data effectively.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals and government regulations.
Ability to write reports, prepare general journal entries, and business correspondence.
