Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and contributing to the overall financial strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance to make a significant impact on our company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular month-end closing activities including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register, ensuring accurate depreciation schedules.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules, providing requested documents, and answering auditor inquiries.
• Participate in ad hoc projects such as process improvements, system implementations, and other accounting-related initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and keep abreast of current industry trends and changes in regulations.
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other business units to improve financial procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is nice to have.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
• Proficient in month-end close, journal entries, fixed assets accounting, financial reporting, ad hoc projects, and audit support.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial models.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong skills in Excel.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
