We are looking for an
Accountant to support our
Trade Management Department.*Candidate preferred location within 60 miles of Harrisburg, PA or Clearwater, FL.
Summary:The Trade Management Accountant assumes responsibility for ensuring key trial balance general ledger accounts are reconciled and variances are researched and resolved. This role works closely with other members of the Trade Management team as well as other areas of the business on the accuracy of various reserve accounts, clearing accounts, and customer programs.
Responsibilities: - Monitor and reconcile various General Ledger accounts, including but not limited to:
- Prior Year Vendor Audit Reserve
- Current Year Vendor Audit Reserve
- Deferred Revenue
- Vendor Chargeback Clearing
- Various Supply Chain-related
- Research and resolve variances by preparing journal entries - where appropriate.
- Manage the Customer Pass-Through Accounting, including but not limited to:
- Reconcile the General Ledger accounts used for customer pass-through activities monthly, and ensure they net to $0 at month end.
- Research debit and credit memos posted to the customer pass-through accounts, and prepare journal entries to reclass on a recurring basis.
- Manage the Customer Program Accounting, including but not limited to:
- Prepare weekly credit memo reclass journal entries as noted above.
- Prepare monthly customer program reclass journal entry.
- Assist Business Intelligence Team with balancing the applicable reporting monthly.
- Collaborate with other areas of Finance on the quarterly true-up.
- Execute customer fund adjustments - whether via a system transaction or journal entry.
- Audit customer credits and adjustments for proper approval at month end.
- Post journal entries submitted and approved by Trade Management personnel.
Requirements:- Bachelors Degree - Preferably in Accounting, Business, Math, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years accounting experience in particular account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Intermediate Operational Accounting skillset.
- Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables and V-lookups).
- Familiarity with ERP accounting systems.
