Accounting / Accounts Payable Clerk - Robert Half : Job Details

Description We are in search of an Accounting / Accounts Payable Clerk for our team in Hartford, Connecticut. This role is fundamental in our accounting operations, where you will be tasked with managing our company's financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank depositsand budgets. We offer a long term contract employment opportunity in an industry that is always evolving, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.Responsibilities- Oversee the end-to-end process of accounts payable to ensure accurate and efficient operations.- Apply your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounting Functions to manage and process customer credit applications.- Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accurate financial data.- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.- Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and financial transactions.- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement accounting procedures and policies.- Use your knowledge of local accounting regulations to ensure our company's compliance.- Handle the submission of financial reports and statements to relevant departments in a timely manner.- Provide support during internal and external audits.- Perform other related tasks as needed to support the accounting department.
